Nicole J. Huckerby
Nicole Huckerby is an experienced and deeply knowledgeable family attorney who assertively advocates for her clients with both compassion and diligence. Nicole has been representing the interests of matrimonial clients since 1993. While Nicole focuses her matrimonial practice on all aspects of family law, she has crafted a well-honed niche for assisting couples in long term marriages who are divorcing later-in-life. She is adept and skilled at working with later-in-life clients to navigate the unique issues they experience.
Nicole supports her clients in dissolving their marriages expeditiously, fairly, and with respect as they enter the next chapter of life. While Nicole frequently handles complex litigation matters, she is skilled in various methods of dispute resolution including mediation. She has been chosen as a Super Lawyer in multiple years, as well as the peer-recognized Best Lawyers.
In addition to her trial court practice, Nicole has extensive and specialized experience in appellate practice for family law matters. She handles all aspects of the appellate process including the drafting of appellate briefs and oral argument before the Appellate Division.
Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College and her Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law. She was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society receiving high honors in the art of appellate advocacy. She also was the recipient of the law school’s Outstanding Service Award.
After graduation from law school, Nicole served as a judicial law clerk in Burlington County, NJ to the Honorable John A. Sweeney, A.J.S.C. (ret.) prior to entering private practice. Nicole is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Mercer County Bar Association. She serves as a volunteer with the Early Settlement Program in Mercer County. Nicole is the mother of two children and she and her husband reside in Pennington, New Jersey.
In her spare time, she is an avid reader, a choir member, and a lacrosse fan. She enjoys hiking on the many beautiful trails in central New Jersey, and spending time with extended family and friends.
